Conservation Area

Exmoor National Park (ENP) have announced in a letter to residents a date for the Committee Meeting which will discuss and decide on the proposed Conservation Area in the centre of Winsford as well as that of Simonsbath.

The meeting will be on Tuesday April 4th at 10:00am at ENP's office, Exmoor House in Dulverton.  The meeting is open to the public, and interested parties may make a short verbal representation before discussions begin. The park requests that anyone wishing to speak should let them know before 4pm on Monday April 3rd, by emailing Corporate Support Officer Judy Coles at jcoles@exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk or calling her on 01398 322250

After consultation, ENP have excluded the Garage from the proposed area, but the Stables remain in (because of their "potential to be an attractive group of buildings"), and the new houses at Royal Oak Court are still excluded( apparently "an incongruous later development").

Representation can also be made to our local councillors  and committee members Steven Pugsley and Frances Nicholson at  fmnicholson@somerset.gov.uk and stevenp@halsgrove.com
